Light source is one of the most crucial factor in maintaining live moss in-door for long term. While moss may not be very strict towards the spectrum of light they need, white light is generally recommended.
Without sufficient light source, mold and fungus may grow easier especially in warmer, humid and low air circulation environment. This is because moss will make less food without light and their immune system gets weaker.
Of course, fungal growth prevention start from the very early stage
In TerraLiving, we spend more than half of our time, effort and budget in research to better understand everything we do.
From live moss to preserved moss, type of glass vessels, substrate, water quality, handling methods, working environment and many more, it's a never ending quest to strive for the right balance between science and design.
