Dot. Moss, a preserved moss terrarium, botanical collection by TerraLiving

It is a standard practice for us to get our perfectly selected and cultivated moss into smaller pieces or fragments to turn them into the final form of our intended botanical sculpture.

However, last year, we received a request from one of our fans, asking us if it is possible to pick the best-looking and fluffiest moss for preservation. She's more than happy to have one as her very own moss specimen collection.

As the shapes and size of moss are random, picking the one that grows to the expected height and width, while retaining its overall structure post-preservation that fits nicely into a glass enclosure occurs at the rate of less than 1%.

Once we are lucky enough, we can create a satisfying and minimalist-looking ball of moss, well protected by a glass dome, known as the "Dot. Moss" series.
