Satisfying desktop-sized parametric moss wall, The Oracle 3.0 - "Symmetric Wave"

The Oracle 3.0 - "Symmetric Wave", a desktop-sized parametric preserved moss wall terrarium.

It has been more than a year since the last limited-edition run for "The Oracle" at this size, and we are glad to announce its upcoming variant, "Symmetric Wave".

The first piece belongs to our gallery, and subsequent releases will go online soon.

About Oracle's Parametric Design:

Parametric art is an emerging form of computational design, defined as using variables and algorithmic rules to generate form.

Parametric design enables us to create mathematical objects like waveforms, spheres, or quadratic curves and change their properties such as scale to influence shadow overcast created by different light sources.

As compared to most plants, mosses generally lack complex structures. Since mosses can be separated into smaller individual units or "moss pixels", the parametric form allows us to create shapes and form for moss like never before.

Several computer-generated symmetrical wave forms come together in pleasing, seamless formations for our "Oracle 3.0" parametric moss wall sculpture.

The various components such as moss and 3D printed parametric planes harmonize and produce stunning visual effects that flow from one shape to another. The outcome is often visually soothing and satisfying to look at from every viewing angle.
