The Vertex - R, Preserved Moss Wall Terrarium with 3D printed generated sculpture by TerraLiving

"The Vertex - R", ZERO Moss Wall with Computer-aided Generated Sculpture in a geometrical glass vessel by TerraLiving.

A tessellation or tiling of a flat surface is the covering of a plane using one or more geometric shapes, called tiles, with no overlaps and no gaps.

In mathematics, tessellations can be generalized to higher dimensions and a variety of geometries.*

Tessellations span across various fields, ranging from computer graphics to nature, such as hexagonal cells found in honeycombs and regular / irregular fractures found on rock surfaces.

Tessellations serve as the foundations to many of our work, such as the segmented geometrical arrangements of glass vessels.

By applying a set of tessellation parameters into designing software, our designer can then generate unique 3D printed structures that match the aesthetics of the moss wall's contour in "the Vertex".
