Last year, we released the "Ice Fortress" sculptures; and, our designers wish to light up this year's Christmas gift with a refreshing and surreal-looking collectible.
"The Winter Forest" is an exciting mashup of papercraft and 3D printing, inspired by origami paper folding techniques.
Hundreds of sketches were drawn, then modeled via computational design to deliver just the right flow and shadow overcasts between parametric planes, then 3D printed with bio-degradable bio-resin materials. The result is a worthy collectible that is soothing both to the eyes and touch.
Yes, it feels so good to run your fingers between those planes!
